Light mode UI would usually be used for daytime driving. So why not switch to a cheerful outdoor scene, and get the car out of the garage too? Maybe out in the country: generic farmland on both sides, or a quiet highway through the woods. Something like what you would see in a car ad. Or a moving scene: a non-descript procedural model that at least vaguely resembles some place you'd like to drive.
