Our linux platform support is currently called Qt for Linux/X11. A subpage then augments this explaining that Qt does work on Wayland too, but this is somewhat hidden. A separate Qt for Wayland page exists, but is not a proper platform listed e.g. in Supported Platforms.

In 2025, X11 is not the default on many popular Linux distributions, anymore, and Qt does run on Wayland since ages. So documenting Wayland as a secondary does not do it justice anymore. At the same time, X11 is still popular

We should replace the 'Qt for Linux/X11' platform with 'Qt for Linux', and documenting both Wayland and X11 as equal QPA's. Qt for Wayland should be merged into Qt for X11 Requirements. The logic to select either the Wayland vs X11 QPA's, and how to statically link either of them, should be documented, too.
