Recently, a decision was made to stop providing OpenSSL through the Qt Online Installer. Its silent removal has caused confusion among long-time users.

Problems:

• Users who try to install Qt on a new computer wonder where the option has gone.
• Users who have previously installed OpenSSL via out installer might inadvertently keep using outdated/insecure versions of OpenSSL because MaintenanceTool used to offer updates but has now stopped.
