Keyboard shortcuts do not work in Symbian

When using the remote compiler from linux, non of the keyboard shortcuts work on Symbian (only tested on Nokia E90). The standard keyboard shortcuts appear in the "Actions" menu of any application created but none of these work whether they are also set in the code, or left for Symbian to handle natively.

I don't know whether this is just the remote compiler or whether this is all symbian compilers.
