Mac OSX: cannot type accented characters üáûè in Japanese Romaji keyboard layout.

It is not possible to enter some characters with two keystroke accents into Qt 4 applications when the Keyboard layout is set to Japanese Romaji.

To duplicate this change keyboard layout to Romaji and enter the combinations
option+u u
option+e a
option+i u
option+` e

This should result in the four-character string: üáûè, but instead results in the 8 character string ¨u´aˆu`e .
