Smart Installer 1.1 (package 0.46)
Description
If a Smart Installer wrapped package is installed when there is no internet connection available (for instance, in 'Offline' mode), the installation fails with 'Installation failed'.
This appears to happen just after the Smart Installer runs and attempts 'Verifying components'.
This is bad in two ways:
1. It leaves the wrapped SIS file installed, but inaccessible
2. Inconsistent - if the Internet connection is killed when the Smart Installer is 'Downloading components', it fails gracefully and leaves an app icon to open to pick up installation again. During 'Verifying components' it doesn't do this.
I would suggest that if Smart Installer download/component check fails straight away it should exhibit the same behaviour as a download failure - leaving an app icon to pick up installation later.
