Split view flashes after selecting virtual keyboard options menu items

Preconditions:
Application includes QMainWindow with one QWidget that supports text input. Tested with QLineEdit.
Application view is on portrait mode (but these are also reproduced on landscape mode).

Test steps:

1. tap the text input field on QLineEdit.
-> split view opens
2. open the options menu from virtual keyboard (options menu key is found next to line break key).
--> options menu opens.
3. Select menu items.

Expected result:
Split view is correctly updated, without flashing

Actual result:
Split view flashes & (quite often) application title pane flashes on split view after selection following menu items. This is very general error for all menu items on virtual keyboard options menu:

• alpahanumeric keypad (and also when 'QWERTY keyboard' is selected from alphanumeric keypad menu)
• writing language
• character preview
• insert symbol
• input options: activate/deactivate prediction,writing language, user guide
