Some Unix systems needs GNU-style iconv() syntax, but may not have the GNU iconv library

      Some Unix systems, like Solaris, needs GNU-style iconv() syntax (const char** for the input argument), but may not not have the GNU iconv library. If the GNU iconv library does exist then an unneeded dependency on this one is added, the system built-in one from libc could be used instead.
