qmake: replace is inconsistent with backslashes

    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: P4: Low
    • Resolution: Out of scope
    • Affects Version/s: 4.7.2
    • Fix Version/s: 5.0.0
    • Component/s: Build tools: qmake
    • Labels:
      None

      Description

      test = a\\b
      message($$replace(test, \\, /)) # a\b
      message($$replace(test, \\\\, /)) #a/b
      message($$replace(test, \\\\, \\\\)) #a\\b

      More than the others, the last line doesn't make sense at all. It should not escape twice for the search value.

      An expected behavior would be:

      test = a\\b
      message($$replace(test, \\, /)) # a/b
      message($$replace(test, \\, \\\\)) #a\\b
