Mac: Scroll bar / header position within a list widget is incorrect

In cocoa list/table views the vertical scroll bar does not go all the way to the top, instead the header extends to the right. However, the part of the header drawn on top of the scoll bar is not a part of the "active" header area, it's drawn as a shaded square with no text.
