Windows
Linux
Description
Hi,
I tried to lookup how to make a "flyout" tray icon in windows 7 (that's the "window" you get when you left click on the clock, battery, network or a dozen others). For more information on that i recomment to look here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa511448.aspx#flyouts.
When i look in http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/qsystemtrayicon.html i see no options to provide such a flyout "window". Only a QMenu which is for a single right mouse click. The flyout is for a single left mouse click.
Note, Qt also seems to miss rich tooltips: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa511448.aspx#richtooltips but i will make a ticket for that if required.
As for other osses, Linux (with kde and gnome) also has flyout menus. Just look at the network manager or the clock in linux (in KDE that is). For mac i don't know.
Could this feature make it for Qt 4.8?
Regards,
Mark
