"Choose topic" dialog is shown to resolve ambiguity. User can enlarge this window so more contents is visible on screen, but these settings currently are not saved for future uses. This proposed feature can be optional. Other possible solution is to compute window size automatically by providing sizeHint with height=(results count)*(size of each row in list).
