QLineEdit long press inserts a character two places to the right of the current cursor position

Quoting from the user of my application:

When adding a character by pressing and holding a key on the E7 keyboard, the added character appears two places to the right of the cursor. If the cursor is at the end of the line, it appears correctly in the end.

For example if I've written "httpwww.google.com" and I want to add a colon after the http, I end up with "httpww:w.google.com".

I have also been able to reproduce this bug on my device.
