Description
A very simple QGraphicsView examples put a QGraphicsPixmapItem into the scene. A QTimer is used to move the item once every 16 mS. This workds great. But making the example a tiny-tiny bit more complex by haveing the QTimer time out event not only move the object but to update the text on a QLabel (putting a tick count on it) will make the performance much slower. Instead of getting a time out every 16 mS it will be about 33 mS (on my computer).
Talk to some developers during QtDD11 in SF and it seems like this is only a Mac problem.
