Numeric Virtual Keypad in Qt 4.7.4 Improperly Positions Insertion Point

When using a QLineEdit control with Qt::ImhFormattedNumbersOnly as the input method hint, tapping the field bring ups the virtual keypad. Touching the input area to position the insertion point (blinking cursor) doesn't work when text is present. The insertion point keeps keeps getting placed at the end of the string no matter where you touch. Subsequent edits, however, occur where you touched. This is a unfortunate change from Qt 4.7.3, which brought up the much easier to use full virtual keyboard in profile. Not only was that keyboard easier to use (the positive and negative signs and the decimal point had their own visible keys), it did not have this insertion point defect.
