Checking contains() during hover events for MapMouseArea

It may be possible, but difficult, to be able to check contains() for hover events in MapMouseArea, as mouse areas are really not designed for non-rectangular geometry. Further investigation is warranted to assess this, perhaps in concert with API changes upstream.
