When reading this: http://cdumez.blogspot.com/2011/03/worker-thread-in-qt-using-signals-slots.html i somehow continued by reading http://labs.qt.nokia.com/2010/06/17/youre-doing-it-wrong/ where Bradley T. Hughes describes why it's wrong and how it should be done (in some other blog posts linked in that page).

At that time it was already clear that the "then current" Qt 4.6 documentation was outdated for QThread since it mentions: "To create your own threads, subclass QThread and reimplement run()." and lacks up to date examples. However, i'm mailing you to inform you that the current Qt 4.8 docs and even the snapshot Qt 5.0 docs are equally outdated for QThread. I was intending to mail this to Bradley T. Hughes, but couldn't find his email...

So, could someone perhaps look into this issue and get the QThread docs updated to reflect the way it should be used?

Note: i would certainly mark this as a high impertance bug for Qt 5. Perhaps even blocker.
