NTLM authentication is needed mainly for enterprise network single sign-on.
NTLM authentication doesn't work with Microsoft ISA server due to this being more restrictive than other servers using NTLM authentication, like IIS.

NTLMv2 support is required since it is considered more secure than NTLMv1 and new Microsoft products have NTLMv1 disabled by default.
For NTLMv1 support, it should be possible to configure a white list of accepted server domain names.
