Looking up fonts takes forever

    Description

      The qtdeclarative examples/qtquick/righttoleft/textalignment/textalignment.qml example takes 20 seconds to start up for me, on an X11 desktop. Callgrind output (a partial visualization is attached) indicates that most of the time is spent trying to get fonts out of the font database.

      This looks like a performance regression.
