As stated on the latest snapshot of the qt3d documentation http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/qt3d-1.0/qt3d-building.html,
in order to build for Harmattan, it is required to add the argument "CONFIG+=qtc_harmattan" to qmake.

With this flag set, it is possible to build qt3d with no problems.
Even generate its packages for Harmattan: libqt4-3d, libqt4-3d-dev and libqt4-3d-examples.

The Problem is that it is NOT possible to build any separate qt3d applications
in this manner. Meaning, using just the "CONFIG += qt3d" flag on the '.pro' file of the application.

The qt3d.prf and qt3dquick.prf files are NOT copied in this way.
