    Description

      Assume a three row multi line text :
      some text
      some more text
      even some more text

      if the column is very small it is elided like this.
      some t...
      [empty]
      [empty]

      or this
      some text
      some more...
      [empty]

      it should be possible to elide like this
      some t...
      some m...
      even so...
