painting/affine demo does not handle window resizing gracefully on OSX in opengl mode

    Description

      1) run the affine app
      2) try scaling the window, it is OK in the default mode
      3) switch to OpenGL rendering - it only renders part of the pane
      4) try to resize the window - it gets worse
