Layout problems with QDockWidgets

A customer has suggested that we include a best practises section in the Layouting documentation as they got caught by some of the less obvious sides of layouting. This is not an isolated incident. This purpose might also be served by a brief discussion of common employed approaches to layouting and their benefits.

For example :

The customer added several non-scrollable widgets that contained layouts to a containing (parent) widget which was subsequently set to a set size. This resulted in the contents of the non-scrollable widgets being heavily distorted, and resulted in a pragmatically unresizable parent widget.
