Its not possible to use the Qt Debug libraries when building with -debug-and-release using cmake

I'm trying to use the debug libraries after having build Qt with -debug-and-release and -framework using the cmake files in lib/cmake. I was told by Digia that this is currently impossible.
Its very important though when you are trying to do things that Qt only slighty supports and you have to figure out where things go wrong.
