In the android API, the orientation of the x and y axes are fixed for a given device, and does not rotate when the screen rotates. However, this orientation depends on the native orientation of the device: phones and small tablets are typically portrait devices, and large tablets are landscape devices.

This means that the same application in the same orientation will give different sensor readings depending on the type of device, and there is no Qt API that tells the type.
