      Description

      Hotkeys don't work if non english layout is set on 4.8.5. Even first layout is latin, it don't work at all. In 4.8.4 the problem doesn't exist.

      "Hello, I can confirm that Qt 4.8.5 is the culprit. I've been lucky enough having image (backup) before it's upgrade went out, which helps me to investigate the problem. I've installed a group of available updates and seek for the problem. When it finally appeared I've remember from which group it came and I've just begun to close circle by installing less and less packages from this group and finaly found it. It's definitely Qt 4.8.5. For now I hold it via editing pacman.conf at v. 4.8.4 and haven't problems at all. In case of upgrade to version 4.8.5, the problem appears after reboot. Hope fix it soon.

      $ uname -a Linux mozo 3.10.5-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Aug 5 08:04:22 CEST 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux
      $ kde4-config --version Qt: 4.8.4 KDE Development Platform: 4.10.5 kde4-config: 1.0"

        This is still a problem, although the revert does at least solve it for the most part, but if you use the menus example and have a German keyboard layout then pressing ctrl+z will act as if ctrl+y was pressed.

        I've noticed that this bug is NOT reproduced under specific alternate layouts, but is still reproduced under Cyrillic, Thai and some other alphabets.

        All of this should be working fine in Qt5. It can be tested by building QtBase, branch 5.4, or who doesn't want to build can wait for Qt 5.4 RC binary. For referance: https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/96993/

        @Andy, also the case you are describing works as expected in Qt5.
