In order to achieve smooth scrolling of items along a Path, one of the only two methods I have found includes PathInterpolator (with a NumberAnimation on progress). The other option is PathAnimation. Neither, however, seem to provide access to any of the PathAttributes defined in the Path object. It seems that it shouldn't take long to integrate this functionality, which would be very useful for dynamic animations along a Path. Of course, the ability to define the incrementCurrentIndex/decrementCurrentIndex animations in PathView would allow a viable alternative which would render this unnecessary but still nice.
