QAbstractItemModel::fetchMore() called multiple times initially when using a QCompleter on a QLineEdit

QAbstractItemModel::fetchMore() called multiple times initially when using a QCompleter on a QLineEdit, but fetchMore() shouldn't be called before the completer actually has to try to complete something (i.e. the user types something in the QLineEdit).
