Qt Quick Demo - Maroon in Trouble example behavior issues

The example appears on the top-right corner of the screen on startup. When the new game is choosen, the some items in the next page are scaled to the screen size, where as most others show up on the corner. Even after the game starts the first screen with the new game button overlaps on it.

I also get the following warnings on the console:
