      Example code, works (prints out more than "pre") after removing comments:

      #include <QCoreApplication>
      #include <QSslCipher>
      #include <QSslSocket>
      #include <QDebug>

      int main(int argc, char *argv[])
      {
      QCoreApplication a(argc, argv);

      // QSslSocket *socket = new QSslSocket();
      // socket->deleteLater();

      qDebug() << "pre";
      qDebug() << QSslSocket::defaultCiphers();
      qDebug() << "post";

      return a.exec();
      }
