    • OpenSUSE 13.1, KDE 4.13 from factory, Qt 5.3.1 from stable Qt repositories.

In KDE 4.13, go to System Settings - Input Devices - Keyboard.
      Switch to Layouts tab.
      Switch "Switching Policy" to "Window".
      Check "Configure layouts".
      Add 3 distinctive layouts.
Check "Spare layouts", and put 2 to the count box.
      Press "Apply".

Open any Qt5-based app (checked in qt-creator, QupZilla-qt5).
      Type something in first language.
Switch with keyboard shortcut to second layout, type something.
Switch to third layout with second mouse button on tray icon and type something.

The switch to third layout will be ignored, typing will continue in second layout.
