Description
With a simple widget that repeatedly draws QPixmaps on the screen we noticed a performance regression of factor 4 from Qt4.
On the target platform we use the directfb plugin as there's no OpenGL available.
The diagnostical output of the app looks like this:
(*) DirectFB/Core: Single Application Core. (2011-08-26 17:23) (*) Direct/Thread: Started 'VT Switcher' (-1) [CRITICAL OTHER/OTHER 0/0] <8388608>... (*) Direct/Modules: suppress module 'linux_input' (*) Direct/Modules: suppress module 'tslib' (*) Direct/Thread: Started 'Keyboard Input' (-1) [INPUT OTHER/OTHER 0/0] <8388608>... (*) DirectFB/Input: Keyboard 0.9 (directfb.org) (*) DirectFB/Graphics: Generic Software Rasterizer 0.6 (directfb.org) (*) DirectFB/Core/WM: Default 0.3 (directfb.org) (*) FBDev/Surface: Allocated 800x480 32 bit RGB32 buffer (index 0) at offset 0 and pitch 3200.
The attached example is performing fine with Qt4 and QWS.
