Qt 5 Cinematic Experience demo has animation glitches since Qt 5.3

Running the cinematic demo and clicking in the I to drop down the info "panel" runs the animation differently since Qt 5.3 than in previous versions. Instead of a smooth animation, the effect gets stuck in the state shown on the attached screenshot for quite some time before continuing.

Happens both on Qt Enterprise Embedded devices (Qt 5.3) and on desktop with Qt 5.4.

There have been reports of similar issues with earlier versions of QTEE (based on Qt 5.2) too, but that happened only in some cases, on some devices.
