OS X 10.6: Showing dialog hangs when triggered by an action in pull down menu

      When dialog is triggered from pull down menu the application will hang on OS X 10.6. The issue can only be seen on 10.6.
      If a delay is added to dialog showing the issue can't be seen anymore.

      Use the attached example application to reproduce.
