[REG] Massive performance lost in 5.4

    Description

      I created a simple example which can be used to reproduce the issue. Clicking on "Show sidebar" it should show a nice animated sidebar. On Qt 5.3.x is smooth and fast, but on 5.4 is anything but smooth or fast, on my Padfone Infinity looks like is 5-10 times slower ;-(.
