It would be nice if there was an expanded guide in the documentation on the layout
mechanism: there's no theory of operation laid out and examples of
implementing a layout class is clearly not the whole story. For
example, which QWidget functions trigger a layout and when? Which
calls can result in cyclic or short circuited layout? When is the
"style" actually available to calculate widget sizes?
