MacOSX: provide a way to hide the "Start Dictation..." and "Special Characters..." menu items

      The "Start Dictation..." and "Special Characters..." menu items are automatically added to the "Edit" menu of an application** (by Cocoa).

      Application may have an Edit menu, but does not edit documents. It would be great to have a way to hide those menu items.
