Radeon driver crashes when running webenginewidget examples

When running either the WebEngine Fancy Browser or the WebEngine Tab Browser example, the following occurs:

1) GUI appears
2) Page seems to start loading ("10%" displayed in the window title bar), but is blank
3) GUI freezes, page is still blank
4) Screen goes completely black for 1 sec
5) Windows reports that the graphics card driver was restarted
6) GUI is completely frozen and must be killed manually in the task manager.

This happens with the following four Windows bundles ssing Visual Studio 2013 Community (other bundles not tested, PATH environment variable adjusted every time):

• Qt 5.4.0 msvc2013 32bits
• Qt 5.4.0 msvc2013 32bits OpenGL
• Qt 5.4.0 msvc2013 64bits
• Qt 5.4.0 msvc2013 64bits OpenGL

Note that in all cases compilation went fine.
