Debugging from Qt Creator gives this output:

      Debugging starts

*** A stack buffer overrun occurred in C:\Qt\Qt5.5.0\Examples\Qt-5.5\webkitwidgets\build-simpleselector-Desktop_Qt_5_5_0_MSVC2013_32bit-Debug\debug\simpleselector.exe:

This is usually the result of a memory copy to a local buffer or structure where the size is not properly calculated/checked.
If this bug ends up in the shipping product, it could be a severe security hole.
The stack trace should show the guilty function (the function directly above __report_gsfailure).
*** enter .exr 77F4F9A8 for the exception record
*** then kb to get the faulting stack

Stack trace is not so helpful as the above warning might give impression of, its just one entry:

      0	RtlActivateActivationContextUnsafeFast	ntdll 0x77e99990
