QDoc writes any additional attributes defined as manifest metadata into the example manifest files without checking for duplicates. In instances where an example defines a thumbnail image, and the metadata defines another image for the same example, the generated XML is invalid.

Qt Creator fails to read such files correctly, and all the examples listed in the manifest end up missing from the Qt Creator's welcome mode.
