the transparency examples contain qml versions, but the shader code there only seems to be ES2 level, and does not work in GL3 without some basic editing that a noob would have a lot of trouble with (i.e., me yesterday). This seems like something that would be nice to have avail off-the-shelf. example impl attached, from my code (only GL3 shaders). I'm a big fan of transparency..
