Disable mouse wheel scroll event on QtQuick.Controls

A while ago I started a thread about it:

I take the absence of activity that it's not possible and thus propose the idea that it should be possible to disable or "handle" the mouse wheel event on input controls like the ComboBox.

What's the reason behind all this you ask?
Create a delegate which contains a ComboBox and e.g a SpinBox. Now fill a ListView with many hundred elements and try scrolling (MouseWheel) without accidentally changing any value. It's too easy to make mistakes without even noticing. That's a huge pain in the ass.
