QML ScrollView behaves strangely when scrolling over the scrollbar on OS X

Use the Apple trackpad to scroll in a QML ScrollView and normally all is well. However, position the mouse on top of the scroll bar and use the trackpad to scroll, and it will have a jittering effect, as if scroll events are being handled by the view and the bar simultaneously. The scroll BAR should ignore wheel events completely on OS X.
