Description
It would be nice if some missing pieces of the advanced keyboard navigation in File dialogs on Mac were implemented.
For example:
1. Open TextEdit.app
2. ⌘O
3. At this point there's a ⇧⌘G command that opens 'Go to the
folder' sheet. There are two alternatives though: '/' and '~', they
open that sheet and set the whole path to that symbol.
4. Next you're ought to enter file/dir names. And there is ⌥⎋
hotkey that completes the current file/dir name.
With Qt's TextEdit demo:
- ⌘O and ⇧⌘G works OK.
- 'Go to folder' opens as a separate dialog, not as a sheet.
- ⌥⎋ completion just closes the dialog.
