Canvas: When resizing the canvas then it ends up not clearing correctly

Canvas: When resizing the canvas then it ends up not clearing correctly. In the attached example the canvas is resized when the window is resized. However despite a clearRect() inside the canvas it ends up drawing incorrectly when resizing.
