https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-34068 was fixed but has regressed since then. i've been told to open a new issue.

when using the neo keyboard layout, using caps lock and alt keys to access the layers for special characters does not work as expected. specifically, i need to press the key twice to make one character appear on screen. more detailed infos are in the bug linked.
