    Description

      There is a helpful component in QQC1 - TreeModelAdaptor. It can be used to create own tree view. I think, it's worth to make it public.

      May be it's also worth to make it subcalss QAbstractProxyModel instead of QAbstractListModel, as it's in fact a proxy model.
