How did you get to the state just before the error (rich text, step by step):
1. Go to Date tab.
2. Select short date format and check it.

Actual result:
Wrong short date format DD/MM/YYYY used for Chinese Simplified build.

Expected result:
According to Control panel, the correct short date format should be YYYY/MM/DD for Chinese Simplified build.
