Description
Hi,
Since many of our customers have a less-than-optimal display available (eg. using a thin client, displaying across a network), we use QMainWindow::setAnimated(false) to disable the animations that occur when one drags a toolbar or dock window around. Unfortunately, there is still one animation that is still around, which is the toolbar expansion animation when one clicks the '>>' chevrons in a collapsed toolbar. I had a quick look at the code, and there doesn't seem to be any way to influence whether the expansion is animated or not.
Minimally, I'd appreciate an option to disable the animation for toolbars - ideally, it'd be nice if QMainWindow::setAnimated had a cascade effect on this animation too. I'd argue that the toolbar expansion animation is in such a similar vein to the expansion/contraction when dragging/dropping toolbars and dock windows that the same 'animated' setting should apply to toolbar expansion too.
Thanks,
Graeme.
