mkspecs/modules/qt_lib_gui_private.pri lists fontconfig in the disabled_features. Running an application that requires fonts produces "Note that Qt no longer ships fonts. Deploy some (from http://dejavu-fonts.org for example) or switch to fontconfig." and text is missing from the application interface.
You can get things working by pointing QT_QPA_FONTDIR at a directory containing some fonts but Qt for QNX should be using the system FontConfig/FreeType.
